About The Position

Lola’s Taco Bar is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team at our Grosse Pointe Woods location. This role is key to keeping service smooth by ensuring fresh, consistent prep every day.

Requirements

• Prior prep cook or kitchen experience preferred
• Strong knife skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Prep ingredients including chopping produce, portioning proteins, and making salsas, sauces, and garnishes
• Follow recipes, prep lists, and portion standards to ensure consistency
• Assist with receiving, labeling, and rotating inventory (FIFO)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe prep and BOH area
• Support line cooks and kitchen team during service as needed
• Follow all health department and food safety guidelines
