About The Position

As a Prep Cook at Seis Kitchen, you will be a key support member of the culinary team, responsible for preparing fresh ingredients and ensuring the kitchen is ready for smooth and efficient service. Working in our scratch kitchen, your attention to detail and commitment to quality directly contribute to the exceptional dining experience we provide to our guests.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a prep cook or in a kitchen environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients according to standardized recipes and preparation procedures.
• Wash, peel, chop, slice, and grate ingredients for use in recipes across the menu.
• Label, date, and store prepped food items properly to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Support line cooks and chefs by ensuring stations are stocked and ready for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all prep areas, walk-ins, and dry storage.
• Assist in daily food prep tasks including marinating proteins, making sauces, and assembling components.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times, including proper handling and storage procedures.
• Communicate clearly with team members and managers to ensure prep tasks are prioritized and completed.
• Uphold Seis Kitchen’s values of teamwork, cleanliness, and quality at every step.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
