About The Position

WindRiver is a luxury lakefront and golf community offering a vibrant lifestyle with world-class amenities, including a championship golf course, full-service marina, Lakeside Inn, and a resort-style pool. The WindRiver Club, a private members-only club, is soon to feature Clubhouse Village, which will house a restaurant, bar, spa, fitness center, event spaces, and pro shop. The company is seeking a Part-Time Prep Cook to join its kitchen team. This position is vital for ensuring efficient kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and properly handling kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate can work in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food and cleanliness. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of food service experience
  • Serve Safe Certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Strong understanding of food prep, safety, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to follow procedures, safety rules, and health regulations
  • Excellent communication; team-oriented and adaptable
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary certification
  • High school diploma

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present food according to recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines
  • Monitor food quality, consistency, and portioning throughout service
  • Maintain prep levels and ensure timely service
  • Follow allergen procedures and prevent cross-contamination
  • Communicate effectively with team members on orders and timing
  • Set up, clean, and maintain workstations and equipment
  • Follow proper food storage, labeling, and temperature control procedures
  • Receive and manage inventory; report low stock and minimize waste
  • Complete opening/closing duties and follow operational checklists
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
  • Maintain professional appearance and safe work practices
  • Follow all food safety regulations (ServSafe, health department, etc.)
  • Report safety issues or equipment concerns promptly
  • Participate in trainings and team meetings
