About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: $17.00 an hour . Provides exceptional service to the guests and co-workers of The Piazza with an upbeat professional and positive attitude. Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by preparing batch production food items ensuring all specifications and standards are met to enhance the guest dining experience. Ensures menu specifications and standards are met. Cooks food and delivers to appropriate outlet as directed. Will ensure that coolers and work area stay clean, items properly labeled and stored according to Health Dept. Guidelines. Will be responsible to work in multiple outlets. Will adhere to all safety and sanitation practices.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 yrs of age.
  • A minimum of one year line or food production experience in high volume restaurant industry preferred.
  • Must be familiar with cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and knife skills.
  • Must be willing to complete knife safety training.
  • Must be a team player, and work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow recipes and established training guidelines.
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (minimum of four hours).
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the casino; from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains excellent kitchen hygiene and sanitary conditions of at all times.
  • Ensures venue product and dining experience surprises and delights the guests.
  • Follows standardized recipes to ensure accuracy with food orders.
  • Keeps station clean and free of clutter during shift
  • Manage high volume orders efficiently.
  • Able to take direction effectively.
  • Must be able to communicate with all guests /staff in a friendly manner and keep an upbeat positive professional attitude at all times.
  • Complete all pre-shift work and break down stations after close following the guidelines of the open/close checklist.
  • Stays consistently on task, and can take responsibility for ones work.
  • Other duties traditionally performed by a Prep Cook
