About The Position

Woodlands Market, Marin and San Francisco's premier gourmet grocery store, has an opening for a Prep Cook! Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing/packing produce, proteins and other food products for our commissary kitchen to distribute to all Woodlands Market locations. Prep Cooks may also cook product under the direction of the kitchen manager. Produce quality food goods in a consistent standardized manner according to accepted recipes for all Woodlands Market locations. Maintain quality assurance and consistency of finished products. At all times, observe standard operating procedures of safety and food sanitation including, Time & Temperature control and proper storage for all product, Food Handling, Personal safety and protective equipment Basic food preparation and kitchen flow knowledge a plus Knife skills a plus (will need to learn if you do not have them) Required Skills: Restaurant, deli or similar food preparation-based experience preferred but not required Able to prioritize work and handle multiple, concurrent tasks. Excellent multi-tasking skills & ability to prioritize work, handling multiple, concurrent tasks. Self-starter, taking an initiative to get work done even when not supervised Who Are We? Requirements
