About The Position

Essential Job Functions include: Prepare food items for Kilbourn City Grill and banquets, including: hot entrees, salad bar, sauces and soups. Work several different stations, including: prep, salad bar, carver, sauté and buffet runner. Duties include washing, chopping, and slicing vegetables, meats and other food items. Set up workstations, maintain kitchen equipment and ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines. Create the highest guest satisfaction possible by having a clean, organized, well stocked work area. Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures. Determine, communicate, and monitor personal and department achievements and performance standards on a daily basis. Perform other culinary duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year experience working as a prep cook
  • The ability to work with other people effectively and with other staff positions is important.
  • Must be trainable and take instruction to learn position.
  • Must be able to lift at least 20lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to do routine math calculations.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, well enough to give instructions, relay information, and carry on effective interchange with customers, vendors, and company staff.
  • Sitting, standing for an extended period of time.
  • Have full use of eyes and ears, full power of speech.
  • Walking, turning head and torso, bending arms, wrists, and fingers.

  • 2 year experience with 1 year as a buffet cook
