About The Position

Amos Place is seeking a Prep Cook to support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assisting with food production, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role helps ensure the kitchen is prepared for daily service by completing food preparation tasks efficiently and according to restaurant standards.
The Prep Cook plays an important role in supporting the kitchen team and maintaining consistency in food preparation. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Requirements

• Kitchen or food preparation experience preferred but not required
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable and team-oriented
• Willingness to learn kitchen procedures
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Comfortable working in kitchen environments
• Ability to perform repetitive food preparation tasks

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen procedures
• Wash, chop, portion, and organize food items for service
• Assist cooks with food preparation and kitchen tasks
• Maintain clean and organized preparation areas
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Store ingredients properly and maintain product rotation
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
• Support kitchen team members as needed
