About The Position

Buck & Rider is looking for Prep Cooks to join our elite culinary team! At Buck & Rider, we take pride in serving the freshest seafood flown in daily and hand-cut steaks, in a high-energy, high-volume environment. We are looking for a dedicated Prep Cook to join our culinary team and support the backbone of our scratch kitchen.

Requirements

  • Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred, but not required—we’ll train the right person with the right attitude
  • Strong knife skills and a passion for learning classic prep techniques
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Ability to read recipes and follow their instructions, measurements, etc.
  • Keen eye for plating and presentation
  • Professional appearance and strong communication skills
  • Punctual, reliable, and ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation
  • Ability to spend long periods on your feet and lift 50lbs

Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs by preparing high-quality ingredients with precision and consistency
  • Follow recipes and portion standards to support smooth line service
  • Wash, chop, measure, and store produce, seafood, meats, and other items with care
  • Maintain a clean and organized prep area, following food safety and sanitation standards
  • Work efficiently to support a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
  • Support team members and jump in where needed to ensure flawless service
