Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Prep Cook, preferably in a seafood or upscale-casual restaurant
  • Comfort working in a high-volume, scratch kitchen
  • Ability to follow prep lists, recipes, and daily instructions precisely
  • Work a varied schedule including nights and weekends
  • Walk and stand for long periods of time; lift 45 pounds without assistance
  • Strong knife skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
  • Passion for quality ingredients and culinary execution
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn and grow
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation best practices

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with seafood prep is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily prep and production of seafood and other fresh ingredients
  • Follow proper storage, labeling, and rotation procedures to maintain freshness and food safety
  • Maintain a clean and organized prep area
  • Support culinary team in preparing ingredients for service, including vegetables, sauces, and proteins
  • Work in coordination with pantry and line cooks to ensure efficient kitchen flow
  • Accurately follow recipes and prep sheets to ensure consistency
  • Uphold all safety and sanitation standards
  • Contribute to a positive kitchen culture based on teamwork, respect, and excellence
