About The Position

Our restaurant portfolio at PDX includes Good Coffee, Oven & Shaker, Deschutes Brewery, Juliett, & Hopworks Brewery! We are looking for an experienced Prep Cook with a positive attitude who prefers to keep busy, is able to use their own initiative, and works well in a fast-paced environment. Here are a few things you can expect as a Prep Cook at SSP America: Follow the recipes, checks the portion of the recipes, the garnishes and present the dishes ordered. Have the correct and adequate set up in the kitchen / work station at each shift. This includes making orders, storing, storing all fresh, dry, frozen goods; condiments and supplies. Handle, store and rotate the stored products properly. Preparation and assembly of multiple portions of food items in batches. Complete the control sheets for opening, in progress and closing if requested. Put all the utensils used during the shift in its place, clean and tidy up work place as well as the storage areas. Practice general and specific cleaning using the appropriate products as indicated by the manager in order to meet hygiene standards. SSP America is an equal opportunity employer.
