About The Position

The Prep Cook position at Bon Appétit involves preparing food and serving customers while adhering to health and safety regulations. The role is essential in ensuring quality food service in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall dining experience.

Requirements

• Previous dishwashing and food prep experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
• Taste completed meals to ensure quality.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Store, label, and date all food items according to policy.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food safety.
• Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs as required.
• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations.
• Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time.
• Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and portion control.
• Resolve customer concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
