About The Position

As a Prep Cook, you'll be an integral part of the culinary team, supporting the preparation of high-quality food for Chicago Bears games, Chicago Fire matches, concerts, and other premier events. This part-time, event-based role is ideal for individuals passionate about food and eager to contribute to a world-class culinary experience at Soldier Field.

Requirements

• Must hold a current ServSafe Food Handling Certification.
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or food preparation role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift for periods of six to ten hours at a time.
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in kitchen.
• Knife skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring seasonings, to support kitchen operations.
• Assist with the preparation of menu items, such as sauces, sides, and salads, according to chef instructions and established recipes.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production.
• Monitor inventory levels of prepared items and communicate replenishment needs to supervisors.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
• Show up to work as schedule indicates.
