About The Position

Touchmark at Mt. Bachelor Village, located on Bend's westside at 19800 SW Touchmark Way, is looking for our next talented Prep Cook to join our dynamic team! Starting salary of $19.50 per hour (minimum, depending on experience), paid time off, bonuses and more! NO LATE NIGHTS! You're home before 9:00pm on a closing shift! Available schedule: Monday through Friday 3:00-8:30pm Guaranteed Hours! Room for growth! Great team environment! Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village has an opening for a Prep Cook/Dishwasher with strong skills and production abilities within our Dining Services department. Various schedules available, no late nights! You will focus primarily on general prep cook duties at our resort-style restaurants, but will also be responsible for dishwasher duties as necessary during your shifts. In this position, you have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team both within the department and within Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village in general, to make a genuine difference in the lives of seniors.

Requirements

  • Patient, tactful, and flexible when dealing with residents, family members, volunteers, visitors, physicians, staff members and the general public
  • Willingness to perform a variety of tasks

  • Ability and willingness to work holidays and weekends

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment
  • The willingness to continue learning and improving skills, as well as a commitment to confidentiality
  • The ability to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, team members and guests
  • Be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background test
  • a minimum of 1 year as a prep cook

Responsibilities

  • Ability to operate all necessary equipment to perform essential functions of the position
  • Ensure prep cook duties are performed in accordance with the established Touchmark Gold Standards
  • Be able to read and interpret recipes, manage high volume prep lists, have safe and clean kitchen practices, good knife skills and a desire to hustle and produce quality food!
  • Work within a team environment to achieve daily goals
  • Maintain a clean environment and a healthy atmosphere for Residents, guests, and team members
