The Prep Chef is responsible for portioning and preparing ingredients and menu items according to specifications. This role involves preparing and cooking menu items to meet quality, consistency, and presentation standards, while strictly following recipes and maintaining a clean workspace to ensure food safety. The Prep Chef will also assist with inventory management, including proper stock rotation and reporting low inventory. Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized prep area with all tools and equipment in good working order is crucial. The position requires efficient work to meet prep and production timelines for smooth kitchen operations, upholding kitchen cleanliness and safety standards through proper hygiene and organizational practices, and safely handling food, including proper storage and disposal.
