About The Position
Longo Toyota is looking to hire an External Buyer Consultant. The Buyer will be responsible for assisting the Pre-Owned Department on purchasing vehicle acquisitions. Apply today! The Preowned Buyer has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly range of $20.00. This position is 100% on site at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA. Requirements
- Knowledgeable with search function on various selling platform such as craigslist, offer up, and marketplace etc.
- Must able to call up guests and have effective phone skills.
- Understand vehicle Book and Market values.
- Knowledgeable with different vehicle makes, model, and trim specifics.
- Knowledgeable with assessing vehicle conditions.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain and acceptable, safe driving record.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is desired.
- Customers service experience is highly desired.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, have, and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Basic skills in identifying previous prior paint work and damages; preferred.
- Microsoft excel skills; preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist purchasing manager to acquire specific vehicles through direct private purchase from guests and various avenues.
- Maintain professional standard and friendliness over the phone.
- Assist on blind appraisals.
- Verify purchasing vehicle conditions.
- Assist on making decision on purchasing price.
- Negotiate on purchases.
- Handling purchasing paperwork process.
- Follow up with calls logs.
- Report call logs and notes daily to managers and directors.
- Setup appointments for guest selling their vehicle.
- Maintain high ethical standards.
- Always maintain professional appearance.
