About The Position

Longleaf Surgery Center is a physician owned multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) located in Trinity. Their current specialties include foot and ankle surgery, shoulder surgery, knee surgery, spine surgery, hand surgery, and pain management. The center is accredited by the Joint Commission. The Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continually evaluating their condition, and ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy. The nurse may assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and utilizing sterile techniques. This role involves providing total comprehensive patient care to those emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS Required
  • PALS if required by the center
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients
