About The Position

The Prenatal Ultrasound Tech will: Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment's to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infections disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures. Ensure that the sonography examination order is complete, contains relevant information, and meets the standard of "medical necessity." Conduct patient clinical assessment and perform the diagnostic medical sonography examination ordered by the Perinatologist in accordance with professional and facility protocols. Apply independent judgment during the sonography examination to ensure that appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are accurately captured in the examination images. Review examination images, synthesize examination results, and prepare the Preliminary findings.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Allied Health or Sonography education preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in High-Risk OB.
  • Demonstrate competence in the care of high-risk OB patients.
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required.
  • Demonstrate commitments to professional growth and lifelong learning (e.g., continuing medical education in the specialty area performed, higher education, staff training)
  • Demonstrate proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
