Working as part of the Premium Service team, the Premium Services Specialist supports all premium and financial processes for insurance carriers who are Covenir clients. The Premium Services Specialist will be responsible for all supported premium and financial functions including receiving and accurately posting payments for carrier insurance policies as well as processing all billing functions including EFT setup/transmission/reconciliations, credit card reconciliation, as well as return premium and claim check payments.   • Process inbound insured payments and assure payment has been applied appropriately in the system of record
  • Perform daily and monthly payment, EFT, credit card, and bank reconciliations
  • Research and resolve financial discrepancies
  • Verify and issue claim and refund checks
  • Respond to email inquires from our clients and agents.
  • Track and escalate any abnormalities in normal Premium Service activities that would be indicative of potential problems
  • Act as an ambassador in building a positive work culture for the team and overall company
  • Follows processing guidelines provided by assigned carrier customers to assure compliance and top level service
  • Work independently, effectively manage your workload and time while also working with your team of peers to accomplish our common goals
  • Manages a high volume of work, and frequent procedural changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with insureds, agents and client company representatives through friendly, customer-oriented service
  • Processes high volumes of work with frequent procedural changes with near 100% accuracy
  • Assists as requested in other functional areas of Covenir to support client needs as required
  • Responds during catastrophic weather events to support peak level of claim call intake as required
