About The Position

The Premium Services Manager at Oak View Group is responsible for overseeing the execution and service of all Suites Services and Catered Events. This role requires a personable individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, focusing on training and developing service staff while ensuring excellent service delivery during events.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a management capacity in a high volume fast-paced restaurant or catering environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to supervise the work of others and communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, and guests.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly, and perform basic math functions related to cash transactions and inventory.
  • 2-year degree in Business Management or Hospitality preferred, but relevant work experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Overall management of Premium & Catering Food and Beverage operations including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, ordering, inventory, labor costs, and equipment maintenance.
  • Oversee catering, restaurant, and suite operations.
  • Directly oversee all Premium & Catering part-time staff.
  • Ensure legal, efficient, professional, and profitable operation of the venue.
  • Generate and review financial reports, including budgets, projections, forecasting, revenue analysis, disbursements, capital investments, labor and product costs, wage and salary control, P&L financial statements.
  • Conflict resolution; last-resort mediation; arbitration and labor negotiations, when applicable.
  • Responsible for overseeing food service and serving beverages to guests, including checking IDs for alcohol purchases.
  • Ensure proper execution of all directives stated in Banquet Event Orders.
  • Responsible for event advancement and effective communication with clients, partners, vendors, guests, and employees.
  • Complete and update administrative paperwork associated with events, including diagrams, timelines, and side-work assignments.
  • Ensure tableware and linens are replaced as necessary.
  • Identify ingredients and explain menu item preparations to guests.
  • Assist in setting up banquet functions including linens, dishware, glassware, and silverware when needed.
  • Observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine needs before, during, or after meals.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and ensure equipment is operable and clean prior to events.
  • Recognize visibly intoxicated guests and take appropriate action to cut off alcohol service.
  • Enforce all OVG policies and procedures.
  • Practice excellent Human Resources skills regarding employee relations, corrective action, coaching, and counseling employees.
