About The Position

The Premium Lead is responsible for overseeing the serving of guests in all Club and Suites areas. Premium Lead must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The Premium Lead will assist the Premium Manager and the rest of the OVG leadership team with projects including training, inventory and special events. The Premium Lead must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need. This role will pay an hourly wage of $16.00-$18.00 and is tip eligible.

Requirements

  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possess valid food handling and alcohol service certificate if required by state and federal regulations (or be willing to obtain one within a 60-day timeframe from date of hire)
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions as they relate to POS credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment or applicable education

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the setting up of food & beverage service areas within clubs based on specific event needs
  • Ensuring all clubs are set up prior to the event
  • Ensuring quality and hospitality throughout all Premium Club areas
  • Communication between counterparts of the department
  • Organization and preparation of events
  • Monitoring team members on non-event and event days
  • Directing any other inquiries (not regarding food and beverage) to the correct entity and/or personnel
  • Monitoring and maintaining food quality
  • Assisting management with monitoring department policies and procedures, upholding safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring a positive atmosphere for team members and guests
  • Maintaining, resolving, and enforcing cash handling policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and enforcing safe alcohol policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and maintaining inventory control and product requisition
  • Having full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments
  • Supervising the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages
  • Observing guests to respond to any additional requests
  • Monitoring the setup of club functions including linens, dishware, glassware and silverware
  • Maintaining sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • Ensuring location equipment is operable and clean prior to the start of the event
  • Recognizing guests that are visibly intoxicated and taking action to cut off alcohol to such individuals
  • Enforcing all Oak View Group policies and procedures
  • Practicing excellent Human Resources skills regarding employee relations, corrective action, coaching and counseling employees and completing all necessary HR-related paperwork
  • Assisting Management team with projects including training, inventory and special events
  • Performing all other duties assigned by the managers and supervisors
