Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (preferred)
  • Strong ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the care and supervision of children

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum & Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using our Wonder of Learning® curriculum to support each child’s growth and development.
  • Classroom Management: Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Family Communication: Build strong relationships with families through open, positive, and ongoing communication about their child’s progress and daily experiences.
  • Health & Safety: Supervise children during all activities to ensure their well-being and compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards.
  • Assessment & Documentation: Observe, assess, and document children’s learning to inform instruction and share progress with families.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers to create a cohesive, supportive classroom community.
  • Behavior Guidance: Model and implement positive guidance strategies that promote social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and career growth.
