PreKindergarten & Junior Kindergarten Associate Teacher (2026-2027 School Year)
About The Position
St. Edmund’s Academy seeks a dedicated and dynamic teacher with experience working with young children in Preschool, PreKindergarten or Kindergarten for a PreKindergarten & Junior Kindergarten Associate Teacher position. The Associate Teacher works collaboratively within a teaching team that includes a PreKindergarten Teacher, a Junior Kindergarten Teacher and another Associate Teacher. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting the homeroom teacher with using the school's core curricula responding to students' individual learning and developmental needs, supporting the homeroom's teacher's collaborative communication with parents, and supporting community initiatives. The Associate Teacher works closely with the Director of Early Childhood to ensure alignment of the school’s philosophy in curriculum and practices. Candidates must have an outstanding record teaching early childhood or elementary school-aged groups. The ability to be collaborative, detail-oriented and innovative is essential. Excellent writing skills and strong verbal communication are expected. The candidate must model and champion the school’s core values including an overt commitment to inclusion and belonging for all members of the school’s diverse community. Teachers dedicated to meeting the academic and developmental needs of the students and collaborating with colleagues and parents should apply. A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred though candidates with relevant experience in the field of early childhood education may be considered.
Requirements
