About The Position

The Early Learning Center at Yeshiva is looking for Pre-K Counts lead teachers for the remainder of the 2025-2026 Program Year. We are seeking an enthusiastic Pre-K Counts teacher to guide a classroom of children in a variety of educational activities. You will work with a your classroom team to plan and provide quality care and playful and culturally relevant learning for our three and four year old students in a safe and healthy environment. Your prime responsibility is to facilitate the fundamental concepts they need to know as they develop at this age, socializing well with others, working effectively in a classroom structure, self-regulating and independence.

Requirements

  • PA PK-3 educator license
  • Degree in Education, with a focus on early childhood learning.
  • Past experience teaching children in the pre-kindergarten age group.
  • Ability to educate with age-appropriate language and teaching methods.
  • Patience, optimism, compassion, enthusiasm, and empathy.
  • Knowledge to help resolving conflicts between children.
  • Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold.
  • BA in ECE or related field required
  • Pennsylvania Early Childhood Certification or Emergency Certification Required

Nice To Haves

  • PreK counts teaching and/or curriculum
  • Familiarity with ECERS
  • CPR/First Aid Certification

Responsibilities

  • Expose and introduce children to core concepts, such as numbers, letters, shapes and colors through play based methods.
  • Use creative, hands-on methods of learning, such as artistic expression, free play and storytelling.
  • Planning a curriculum that addresses early childhood education and age appropriate requirements.
  • Encouraging and monitoring social interactions between children.
  • Instilling a sense of respect and discipline, so that children work effectively in a classroom setting.
  • Making sure that the classroom is clean, safe, and well-organized.
  • Setting up the materials and workspaces required for class activities.
  • Communicating with parents.
  • Creating reports to inform parents about their children's progress at school.
  • Display best practices of early childhood education.
