About The Position

This role works in a fast-paced environment that receives prehospital reports from EMS agencies coming into AHN hospitals and other hospital facilities within the area. This position also works closely with hospital staff in a professional and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Minimum PA EMT or Paramedic license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the EMT or Paramedic level
• CPR or obtain within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Dispatching experience for an EMS agency or emergency operations center
• Two years of experience in EMS and/or 911 Communications center

Responsibilities

• Receives Prehospital reports from EMS providers on ground or air ambulances.
• Relays reports to multiple receiving facilities.
• Coordinates and dispatches specialty teams within AHN facilities.
• Enters data for all activities performed within the communication center.
• Provides direct communication to security staff and dispatches officers when indicated.
• Monitors safety and security for areas of responsibility.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
