FUSE Fabrication is a specialized sheet metal fabrication company in Central Florida, dedicated to hiring and training professionals in a diverse set of disciplines. Requirements

  • Proven experience as a fabricator and machine operator with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Experience using a variety of machine and fabricating equipment, tools, and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of measurements and ability to read fractions and decimals.
  • Basic mathematics skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and geometry).
  • Knowledge of shop and machine safety standards and use of PPE.
  • Forklift experience (preferably certified).
  • Overhead crane experience.
  • Dependable and capable of working overtime hours.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 75% of shift and lift a maximum of 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize production runs to assure customer orders are concluded on time, maximizing machine run time and productivity.
  • Prepare, set up, adjust, and operate press brake under minimal supervision to fabricate and form components from sheet metal or metal plates per engineering drawings and parameters.
  • Select, position, and secure dies, blades, cutters, and fixtures onto the machine using tools and built-in gauges.
  • Ensure that there are enough raw materials available and perform loading and unloading of material by changing tools and selecting required machine programs.
  • Select best suitable sheet size for parts to be fabricated to reduce scrap.
  • Position and clamp stop, guides, and turntables, adjusting controls to set and regulate machining factors.
  • Locate and mark bending or cutting lines and reference points on workpiece using instruments.
  • Start machine and observe operation to reposition workpiece, change dies, or adjust machine settings for multiple or successive passes.
  • Use E2 ShopTech ERP system to track job time accurately and work within the time given to complete.
  • Inspect all manufactured parts following work to ensure engineering specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance on press brake and resolve mechanical issues as required.
  • Inspect and maintain press braking equipment to conform to safety requirements.
  • Perform from blueprints, engineering parameters, and production schedules, establishing brake press adhering to print parameters.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
