Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Actuarial Division as a Predictive Modeler Intern. The position requires the person to create data files to be used in modeling software, build and evaluate predictive models using modeling software, present predictive model proposals for peer review and business approval, create specifications for and coordinate implementation of predictive models, and occasionally perform ad-hoc reporting to answer specific inquiries from upper management. This internship has full-time hours (Monday through Friday) and is in-person in Lansing, Michigan. Interns choose their start and end dates. Most join in mid-May and stay until mid-August.
