About The Position

The Predictive Maintenance Technician at Armstrong World Industries is responsible for the effective monitoring and diagnosis of equipment related degradation conditions at the Marietta Plant. This position involves the collection, analysis, and reporting of predictive maintenance data to support the PM-PdM System, ensuring best-cost management of maintenance and plant budgets. The technician will also engage in continual improvement efforts to enhance manufacturing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Vibration Analysis Level One certification (Entek/IRD) or ability to pass certification test.
• Proficiency in installation and alignment of components such as gearboxes, shafts, and bearings.
• Ability to interpret data in graphical or chart form.
• Basic mathematical skills including ratios, powers, and unit conversions.
• Ability to perform complex mathematical operations for troubleshooting equipment degradation.
• Experience with ODBC compliant databases after training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and diagnose equipment degradation conditions.
• Collect, analyze, and report predictive maintenance data.
• Support the PM-PdM System for cost management.
• Implement predictive technologies at the plant.
• Drive the use of PdM technologies to reduce intrusive PM activities.
• Maintain PdM hardware and software and associated service agreements.
• Develop master job plans for condition-based maintenance.
• Coordinate with storeroom systems to optimize spare parts strategy.
• Train and develop personnel in maintenance standards.
• Collaborate with production and staff to resolve production issues.
• Identify and evaluate outside resources for PdM Technologies.
