General Summary As a Data Science Intern at Granite Construction, you will work closely with our IT and business teams to analyze, interpret, and model complex data sets.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or related field preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player, with strong leadership skills, who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment.
• Ability to work in a high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends and patterns.
• Model Development: Assist in developing predictive models to optimize construction processes and project outcomes.
• Visualization: Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations to summarize findings and recommendations.
