Preconstruction Manager

Elford IncCharlotte, NC

About The Position

Preconstruction is where a project truly takes shape. Before construction begins, the right planning, budgeting, and coordination have to be in place. The Preconstruction team works closely with owners, design teams, and field leadership to evaluate constructability, develop budgets, and make decisions that set the project up for success long before work begins on site. Elford Construction is currently seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join our team. This role works directly with Project Executives, Estimating, and Operations to guide projects through the preconstruction phase — helping develop budgets, evaluate design progress, coordinate bid packages, and prepare projects for a smooth transition into construction. This role is well suited for someone with experience in both estimating and project management, who enjoys working collaboratively with design teams, clients, and operations to solve problems early and create a strong foundation for construction. At Elford, our preconstruction team supports projects across healthcare, multifamily, commercial, industrial, and education sectors, helping deliver work that strengthens the communities we serve. If you’re interested in being part of the early strategy behind great projects, we welcome the opportunity to connect.
