This position is a key component to delivering all required documentation post project award for construction installation prior to mobilization. It is vital that all projects obtain an approved permit prior to any construction activities to ensure continuous compliance with all local AHJ's.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in design development for a complete Solar Systems.
  • Previous experience in permitting submission and management.
  • Previous experience working & coordinating with local AHJ's.
  • Previous experience managing small teams to ensure seamless project workflow for both Design and Permitting.
  • Previous experience managing workflow for 2,000+ homes per year.

  • Advanced ability to professionally communicate and coordinate with upper management and local AHJ's.
  • Advanced knowledge in complete solar systems (including battery design) for single family homes, multi-family homes, condominiums, and apartment complexes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Preconstruction Operations including Design and Permitting team.
  • Review all documentation provided by the builder at time of bid and ensure all T24 requirements are met and implemented into the Master Submittal prior to submission to the builder and/or local AHJ.
  • Attend and coordinate during each JAKOM (Job Award Kick Off Meeting) project specifics and ensure Master Submittal captures all project requirements according to bid documents.
  • Attend and coordinate with the Operations & Construction Team during initial Preconstruction meeting to conduct a Page Turn (Master Review) prior to submission to builder or local AHJ.
  • Attend and coordinate all project specifics or changes at final preconstruction meeting that occurred during job walk to ensure all changes are captured on the Master Plan set and update permits accordingly prior to initial community or unit mobilization.
  • Coordinate with local AHJ's to ensure all code requirements and project specifics are implemented to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate with local AHJ's on all plan checks and backchecks to ensure all comments are addressed and corrected in a timely manner.
  • Manage all construction operational needs related to design and permitting to ensure each unit is provided with proper documentation prior to submission of each individual permit.
  • Manager shall be familiar with all AHJ permitting requirements and ensure all projects/ units obtain an approved permit prior to mobilization.
  • Develop and maintain local AHJ design and permitting portal information, portal login's, etc.
  • Utilize operational tools such as Microsoft Planner, Excel, etc., to track all design and permitting statuses. All statuses should be upkept on a daily basis and unprompted status updates provided to Sales, Operations Managers, Sr. Construction Managers, and Director of Operations.
  • Manager shall ensure all business licenses are obtained and/ or renewed.
