The Preconstruction Engineer assists and supports the progress of existing preconstruction projects to ensure Skanska is completing its work accurately and efficiently. The position works under direct supervision, performs daily estimating and planning activities, and organizes and disseminates information applicable to the planning efforts. The Preconstruction Engineer must be able to meet critical deadlines, accurately obtain quantities for building components and have the ability to work as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Geometry - proficiency in measures of length, area and volume calculations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent/applicable degree; or 8 years prior relevant experience.
  • Currently, the company is not considering applicants who now or in the future require employment sponsorship.
