About The Position

The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) is expanding its capacity at a new state-of-the-art preclinical facility located at Momentum Labs in Gainesville, Florida. We are seeking passionate individuals who are eager to contribute to our mission of accelerating drug development by delivering translationally relevant preclinical services. This is an exciting opportunity to work with top-tier scientists, study directors, and researchers in a dynamic and collaborative environment. At JAX, you will be part of a team that is at the forefront of preclinical drug development, helping to shape the future of human health. JAX Preclinical Services execute mouse in vivo studies for external customers developing drugs across various therapeutic areas. The Neurobiology department focuses on neurodegeneration, nerve and muscle diseases, epilepsy, and autism spectrum disorders, among others. This position will involve conducting drug efficacy studies on carefully baselined and validated models, with a focus on neurobiology indications including aging, autism spectrum disorder, and neurodegeneration in both the peripheral and central nervous systems, as well as muscle and heart diseases. As a Preclinical Scientist, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing scientific research projects. You will apply advanced methodologies and techniques to explore and expand knowledge within your specific discipline. This role requires leading experiments, analyzing data, and interpreting results while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve research goals. The salary range for this position is between $84,300 and $122,235, depending on qualifications and experience.
