Turner Industries Group is seeking a Precision Millwright for nested long-term maintenance at a site in the Pasadena, TX area. There is no per diem or relocation available for this position - you need to be local to the Houston area. The successful candidate will troubleshoot, overhaul, and install rotating equipment, (especially ANSI and API centrifugal pumps) including: pumps, compressors, steam turbines, gearboxes, electric motors, fans and blowers. Previous maintenance experience is required. Regular 5 8's schedule Mon-Fri with some overtime Well-rounded, Safety-minded, NCCER test required, NCCER Plus certification preferred. Must have 4 years minimum work experience as a Millwright. Replace mechanical seals in ANSI pumps, as well as overhaul single stage ANSI pumps (Goulds, Durco, etc.) Align pump to motor using laser alignment tools or dial indicators Thorough recordkeeping, including recording as-found and as-left clearances after a seal replacement or pump rebuild job Experience with single stage steam turbine maintenance is a plus. Background check and drug test required. General Job Description: Installs and/or maintain machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and written instructions in industrial establishments. Functional Requirements: Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; dismantles machines; moves machinery and equipment; assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers; aligns machines and equipment using reverse alignment method; assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures; may operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications; may repair and lubricate machines and equipment; may be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates.
