About The Position

Machine cylindrical components to precise dimensions using manual and/or CNC lathes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of lathe experience or equivalent training

Nice To Haves

• CNC lathe experience
• Threading and tight tolerance work
• Experience with mold-related components
• Program experience in Mastercam

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathe equipment
• Perform turning, boring, threading, and facing operations
• Interpret blueprints and specifications
• Maintain dimensional accuracy
• Adjust machine settings and tooling
• Stop work for quality issues
• Recommend process improvements
• Machine round components to required tolerances
• Hold tight tolerances
• Soft or hard turn machining
• Perform in-process inspections
• Maintain tooling and machine
• Document work performed
