About The Position

The Precision Inspector role at Benchmark involves ensuring the quality and approval of manufactured parts or assemblies according to customer specifications. Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in inspection processes or specialized knowledge in specific processes.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and performing basic to intermediate math.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and changing tasks.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and cross-train in other areas.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect first-piece, in-process, and final parts using precision instruments and special equipment.
• Operate Coordinating Measuring Machine (CMM) for inspections.
• Determine product acceptance or rejection.
• Notify supervisors of non-conforming products.
• Follow written instructions and established procedures.
• Complete and maintain quality control documents.
• Work at various stations to meet production needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Ensure the security and confidentiality of customer products and documentation.
• Provide timely feedback to other operations.
• Cross-train in all inspection operations or specialize in complex processes.
• Plan inspection procedures and setups for various measuring devices.
• Use independent judgment for complex inspections with some supervision.
• Mentor less experienced employees.
