About The Position

Utilizes established methods, operations, and setups to conduct precise inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products. Ensures all components and assemblies meet engineering requirements and comply with stringent quality standards, maintaining excellence throughout the production process.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work semi-independently.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
  • Ability to apply intermediate skills by adapting existing (or writing new) procedures, techniques and tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Base knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and basic to intermediate math skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Base knowledge of FAA regulations and aerospace standards.

Nice To Haves

  • AA / AS degree (or other 2-year or 4-year post high school training) or 1 – 3 years of experience in a (preferable aerospace) manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of industry software including Teamcenter, SAP, Discus, NetInspect, and Minitab (or comparable data analysis software).

Responsibilities

  • Uses a variety of measuring devices, testing equipment, computer software, and process control documents to perform in process and final verification inspections of aerospace product.
  • Loads, operates, and unloads Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for inspection of product.
  • Works with product stakeholders to determine and report product status to internal and external customers.
  • Performs First Article Inspections (FAIs) and inspections on product undergoing FAA Conformity.
  • Prioritizes and manages their tasks to ensure area efficiency semi-autonomously.
  • Raises notifications of non-conformance, quarantines non-conforming product, and assists in root cause analysis of discrepant product.
