About The Position

At ULA, as a Technical Support Representative (Assembly/Mechanical Technician), you will perform a variety of duties in the mechanical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic fields. You will be responsible for the assembly of components and various test apparatus, troubleshooting and diagnosing sensors, using pressurized and/or cryogenic equipment, working from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions, operating related equipment, conducting tests and reporting data in prescribed format.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Familiarity with mechanical and/or electrical assembly, metal fabrication in an aerospace or similar industry
• Familiarity with the use and operation of precision measuring devices
• Familiarity with fabrication, assembly and test of complex mechanical and structural assemblies
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Self-motivated, team player willing to adapt within a dynamic work environment
• Ability to work overtime, to include extended shifts and weekends
• Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds
• Ability to follow test procedures
• Ability to understand and adhere to shop practices and safety guidelines

Nice To Haves

• Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition systems
• Experience in the use of machine shop equipment (mill, lathe, band saw, grinder, etc.)
• Experience in working from drawings, models and other engineering documentation
• Ability to hand layout, drill and rivet to drawing specifications
