Learn more at www.FloridaCrystalsCorp.com . OVERVIEW A Data Technician plays a crucial role in managing and organizing data within the Precision Agriculture Department. The responsibilities include collecting, compiling, and entering data into databases, ensuring its accuracy and completeness. Maintain and manage data systems, performing regular tests and backups to ensure data security and integrity. Data Technician could also analyze and interpret data sets to support the departments’ initiatives, identify and correct data entry errors, and adhere to data compliance and security policies. Additionally, troubleshoot technical issues related to data systems, create data reports, and provide insights based on their analyses. This work will contribute to ensure that data is accurate, secure, and useful for decision-making within the organization.

Requirements

• Experience with data entry, data cleaning, and data management tasks
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, data analysis tools, and possibly some programming languages
• Proficiency in entering, updating, and managing data accurately.
• Experience with data-related software like Microsoft Excel, Access, or ArcMap or other data management tools
• Effectively communicating findings and collaborating with team members
• Managing and organizing large volumes of data efficiently.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required
• Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills
• Candidate should be a proactive self-starter; strong collaboration skills and high accountability standards required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum requirement for entry-level positions is associate degree in data science, computer science, information systems, engineering, horticulture, agronomy or a related field
