About The Position

The Precious Metals Technician works in the Refinery, Melt Shop & Alloy Room where precious metals are passed through a process that melts the metal and separates out all impurities, and then brings the metal back to its purest form. This position will operate the Melt Shop, Refinery and Grain Pro equipment following the 'Standard of Work' procedures along with verbal instructions from Supervisor. The position will also work closely with the Precious Metals Refinery Administrator to move batches through the Material Crib.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Detail oriented with ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic Computer literacy with skills in MS Office/365 Suite (Outlook, Excel, Access)
  • Able to accurately enter Data into system
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
  • Must keep area in a clean and organized condition
  • Ability to organize/prioritize the fabrication schedule as posted each week
  • Ability to work through processes in a systematic and timely manner while meeting all safety standards
  • Intrinsic understanding of processes to evaluate possible future problem areas and proactively addressing them.
  • Certified or able to be certified to use Pallet Jack and Forklift
  • Must understand and adhere to all applicable OSHA, state, and federal regulatory requirements
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to wear all proper PPE equipment including respirator when needed

Responsibilities

  • Organize/Prepare scrap for LTL Shipment
  • Run stamp/punch machine
  • Handle incoming and outgoing Chemical shipments, pups in chemical distribution
  • Wash, dry, supply material crib with various metals
  • Tumbler/Mixer Cleaning Buttons
  • Run Tumbler- clean up pieces
  • Operate Rolling Machine for Bar Caster
  • Keep updated inventory on supplies & gasses
  • Run Annealing Machine
  • Track & Request Other Metals

  • We believe in pay transparency. The salary range is $46,800 - $49,400 ($22.50 - $23.75 hourly). This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
