About The Position

The Crane Boom Operator is responsible for safely operating a crane to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment at construction or industrial sites. This position requires precision, attention to safety, and strong communication with ground personnel and site supervisors to ensure all lifting operations are completed efficiently and safely. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid Crane Operator Certification (NCCCO or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating boom cranes (hydraulic, lattice, or telescopic).
  • Strong understanding of load charts, rigging principles, and crane safety standards.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically capable of climbing, lifting, and working at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver precast products to jobsites
  • Operate boom cranes (fixed or mobile) to lift, move, and position heavy loads of precast products.
  • Inspect crane and rigging equipment daily to ensure safe and proper operation.
  • Interpret load charts, blueprints, and site plans to determine safe lift procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with signalpersons, riggers, and other team members using hand signals or radios.
  • Monitor crane performance and adjust as needed to maintain balance and load stability.
  • Follow all site safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform minor maintenance or report mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
  • Record lifts, maintenance checks, and other required documentation.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of crane equipment as needed.
