Precast Concrete Dry‑Finish Supervisor
About The Position
Lead the Final Surface Quality of Every Precast Member Picture a day where you walk the yard at first light, shop cards in hand, aligning today’s plan with the Manager. You confirm the required dry finish for each bed form, assign the right Concrete Finishers (Class B) to each product, and brief Specialty Finishers on techniques and any special requirements. As production runs, you verify finishes, step in to tackle tricky details, and ensure every member is green tagged before it heads to storage. What You’ll Do Coordinate and lead Specialty Finishers and Concrete Finishers in applying dry finishes to precast concrete members. Review shop cards with the Manager and translate requirements into clear work instructions. Confirm the correct dry finish for each bed form and product before work begins. Assign one or more Concrete Finishers – Class B to each product and provide direction on the exact finish needed. Communicate any special dry-finish requirements so every surface meets specification. Jump in hands-on as needed: saw off strand ends, sack/patch members, and rock panel edges. Perform dry finishing personally when required to keep production on schedule. Apply rework to products to meet quality standards. Handle additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting to resolve finish issues quickly and effectively.
