Reliant Medical Group has an immediate opening for a Preauthorization Analyst . This is a high-volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive and thoroughly dealing with our members over the phone. This individual will be responsible for processing surgical prior authorizations for multiple specialties including Ortho, Podiatry, Gen Surgery, Urology, and Plastic surgery for Reliant Medical Group surgeons. Schedule (38.75 hours): Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm EST If you reside within the state of Massachusetts , you will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute as you take on some tough challenges. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of medical office or healthcare support-related experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work remotely in the state of Massachusetts

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within the health care Industry and with healthcare insurance
  • Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
  • A clerical or administrative support background
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

  • Processes surgical authorizations and denials per specific payor's guidelines
  • Screen for member eligibility
  • Retrieve clinical notes to complete our electronic medical record, and accurately enter information into the computer system
