About The Position

The Department of Theater and Dance at University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a lecturer to teach courses in Costume Design and History of Period Styles during the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Courses are undergraduate in nature and may include Costume Design, Costume Technology, Rendering, Costume History, Period Styles, and/or mentoring of student designers, dependent on the candidates strengths and specialties. Work will be in person on the UCSB campus; reimbursement for travel and housing expenses cannot be provided. Salary is based on UC's salary scales and depends on qualifications.

Requirements

  • Strong background in Costume Design and History of Period Styles.
  • Experience in teaching undergraduate courses.

  • Experience in Costume Technology and Rendering.

Responsibilities
