THE ROLE: We are in search of an experienced program manager with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills in Pre-Silicon program management organization. Ability to work efficiently and manage effective relationships in a cross-functional organization to meet program commitments for successful Si tape outs. Must be self-directed and able to work in a complex and dynamic environment. This program manager will drive SoC programs from concept through execution to Si tape out. This involves working with Architecture, IP design, verification, SoC integration and software development teams to ensure that program requirements and scope are achieved. The program manager is required to work with these teams to resolve program roadblocks efficiently and to meet program schedule. THE PERSON: As a Program Manager, you will partner with our cross-functional teams to drive deliverables and alignment at the SoC level. You will maintain timely communication with the teams and present program status to upper management. In addition to good interpersonal skills, pre-Si technical knowledge with program management experience is required.

  • Defines, plans and drives projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance
  • Ensure programs meet their execution metrices on time
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of the principles of project management and can apply them effectively on small to large size projects
  • Has responsibility for projects or processes of significant technical importance and for results that cross engineering project areas
  • Initiates significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiency
  • Creates and maintains project management artifacts such as schedule, resource and resource forecast, risk and issues logs
  • Provides unique views of project status updates and facilitates cross development team dependencies and communications
  • Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle
  • Collaborates with core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions
  • Collect, analyze, organize and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports
  • Technical program management - RTL design, physical implementation, or circuit verification experience is desirable
  • Pre-Silicon program management
  • Internal customer relationship management coordinating and facilitating communication among the teams
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively as a self-starter and as part of a team
  • Proactively involve team members in planning, decision-making and execution efforts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to handle all levels of interaction, including executive level presentations
  • Horizontal leadership/Matrix management experience
  • Collaborate in problem solving and mitigating risks with Engineering, Program/Project Management, Business Units and Product Management - both internal and external
  • Strong knowledge of productivity and project tools including Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detailed oriented, self-driven with a strong sense of pride and ownership
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering
  • Formal project management education, PMP / Scrum Master a plus
  • People management experience is desirable
