About The Position

The Pre-Sales Support Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving growth for Service Provider Solutions within the Southwest territory, with a focus on the K-12 education sector. Acting as a subject matter expert on complex technology solutions—including Internet Access, Managed WAN, Hosted Firewall, and Hosted VoIP—you will partner with Account Managers to develop strategies, present solutions, and close deals. A key component of this role involves leveraging expertise in the USAC E-Rate program to guide clients through funding processes and optimize solution adoption. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, has deep technical knowledge, and excels at influencing both technical and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of technology sales experience, including at least 3 years in Strategic, Overlay, or Solutions Sales focusing on Managed Services or Telecommunications.
  • Proven track record of selling to the SLED market or Service Provider space.
  • Deep technical knowledge of Internet Access, WAN, Managed Security/Firewall, and Hosted Voice solutions.
  • Expert understanding of USAC E-Rate processes, bidding requirements, and funding cycles.
  • Strong consultative sales, negotiation, and technical communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software for pipeline management, forecasting, and sales activity logging.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across the assigned Southwest territory as required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies, integrating USAC E-Rate funding insights to drive opportunities.
  • Serve as the internal and external expert on all E-Rate processes and compliance requirements (Category 1 & 2).
  • Partner with Account Managers to co-develop account strategies, qualify leads, and support solution evangelism.
  • Lead responses to high-value bids, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and E-Rate forms.
  • Deliver tailored sales presentations and product demonstrations to C-level and technical decision-makers.
  • Manage pipeline generation, forecasting, and performance reporting across the assigned Southwest territory.
  • Build and maintain strategic client relationships, leveraging customer success for cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
