About The Position

Join Epicor as a Solution Engineer! The Solution Engineer serves as a trusted partner to the sales force (direct and channel) by providing in-depth knowledge of the technical financial requirements and business use of our products in order to close ERP sales opportunities. This role will be responsible for solutions across multiple Epicor product lines & verticals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience of presales within the ERP industry or equivalent financial ERP experience.
  • Self-motivated with a consistent track record of success in supporting both direct and channel sales.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with account executives, fellow presales members, and professional services.
  • Very organized, analytical, and ability to communicate clearly on key business drivers & finance topics to customer executives.
  • Experience in the manufacturing, distribution, services or finance industry.
  • Documented frequent experience of giving customer presentations / demonstrations.
  • 5+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
  • 2+ years of accounting or enterprise financial solution experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), with preference for accounting, finance or business majors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for companies such as SAP, Microsoft, Infor, Oracle Netsuite or other ERP companies or Value Added Resellers (VARs).

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with the sales team on new business opportunities.
  • Translate client’s technical requirements to solution.
  • Drive the technical discussions.
  • Deliver custom demonstrations and implement technical proofs-of-concept.
  • Conduct detailed financial & business discovery meetings to uncover customer business drivers and levers for success.
  • Prepare & deliver creative and effective technical presentation of company products.
  • Manage POC and trial processes with the clients.
  • Establish outstanding business relationships and partnerships with the clients.
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical & financial expertise.
  • Understand performance characteristics and establish credibility with the clients.
  • Influence target clients by presenting company products values and benefits.
  • Assist with cost evaluation and pricing issues.
  • Gather requirements and present to Product Development team.
