About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Pre-Sales Security Systems Engineer in the United States. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, implement, and support advanced electronic security solutions for a wide range of clients. The Pre-Sales Security Systems Engineer will collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure projects are executed efficiently, from initial design to final commissioning. You will develop technical solutions using Revit and AutoCAD, review architectural and engineering plans, and provide expert guidance on access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and other electronic security systems. The position combines technical expertise with client-facing responsibilities, supporting proposals, responding to RFIs/RFPs, and ensuring system performance meets high-security requirements. This is a dynamic role for someone passionate about cutting-edge security technology and delivering high-quality solutions.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of relevant experience in electronic security systems design or engineering
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficiency in Revit (primary) and AutoCAD (supporting) for system design and documentation
  • Thorough understanding of electronic security technology, including access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, and supporting IT infrastructure
  • Experience designing and planning security systems, including professional certifications or training in Lenel, Genetec, C-Cure, Avigilon, Axis, Bosch, Milestone, or similar
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation skills, and ability to interact with clients
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and work effectively in a collaborative environment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Microsoft Project, Visio, BlueBeam, and other design or documentation tools preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement security solutions for installations, upgrades, repairs, and conversions
  • Review field survey documentation, architectural and engineering plans, riser drawings, device schedules, and detail drawings
  • Create solution design documentation, including drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and design summaries
  • Provide technical support to internal teams, on-site personnel, and clients throughout project lifecycle
  • Assist in preparing technical content for RFIs/RFPs and project proposals
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging electronic security technologies and industry-leading vendors
  • Support management in creating and implementing new technology processes for existing and new customers
