About The Position

Job Vision: Ensure that 7G Distributing will drive profitable volume growth, market share, and maintain its position among Suppliers as a leading distributor through proper planning and execution management. This will in part be accomplished by: Focusing on areas and factors where 7G Distributing must improve in order to win long-term, sustainable market share while the sales team is focused on detailed, tactical execution. Ensuring “best-in-market” DSD service to all accounts through “best-in-class” execution and maintaining superior “partner” relationships with retailers and Suppliers. Serve as a role model for 7G Distributing by establishing mutual respect with management and co-workers. Lead by example to promote teamwork, cooperation and enhanced morale. Operate with candor, integrity and professionalism is all 7G Distributing interfaces.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and meets insurability requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, at times regularly
  • Ability to lift up to 165 pounds periodically

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year sales/related on the job experience
  • 2-year degree unless meets experience requirement
  • Computer knowledge that includes Microsoft Windows, Office Suite and Web Based Applications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the structured sales call frequency for all assigned accounts
  • Maintain a positive relationship with all accounts and work together as a team with other 7G team employee
  • Increase volume and distribution by supplier/brand/sku for assigned accounts as established in the 7G Distributing annual plan and as reported in RAS reports.
  • Maintain and/or grow market share for assigned accounts as set forth by 7G
  • Sell new package placements and tap handles as prioritized and directed by monthly sales goal (All 7G brands)
  • Dominate merchandising in all assigned accounts
  • Prepare and transmit orders consistent with retail needs and 7G Distributing goals before the stated order cut-off time
  • Utilize the handheld order entry and account management computer as a selling tool, ensuring all products are reviewed in order to prevent out of stocks and hot shots
  • Advise and train retailers and their employees in the proper methods of selling, merchandising and pricing products, always putting the needs of the retailer first
  • Be aware of competitive trends in your market, adjust selling strategies accordingly to ensure 7G is winning in the marketplace. Communicate competitive trends and intelligence to your Team Leader
  • Maintain control of retailer inventories to ensure adequate product is available for sale while, minimizing out of stocks
  • Adhere to the 7G Rotation policy, eliminating out of code product
  • Adhere to all Iowa ABD guidelines.
