About The Position

Responsible for registering patients by obtaining individual identifying and demographic data for the patient’s permanent medical record. This position requires that patients are registered/admitted in an accurate and timely manner.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Hospital/Clearance experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Register patients efficiently and accurately
• Maintains accuracy when obtaining information from an insurance company, physician's office staff, co-workers, to avoid miscommunication
• Able to notify the scheduler in situations if patient needs to be rescheduled due to issues- i.e.: medical necessity – waiting on new order
• Communicates schedule changes to Outpatient Surgery, Admitting, Radiology/Imaging, and any other departments affected
