About The Position

What you'll be doing: Manage the Pre-Press Dept. to include the following: Quality assurance of all Prepress needs (Graphics, Plates and Press Expectations) Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions. Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure work continuity. Respond to inquiries and complaints from internal and external customers. Maintain equipment and schedule maintenance of equipment Ability to trouble shoot Prepress, Plate, and Press opportunities. Ability to evaluate employee performance and train & coach others to improve area performance Global Vision Scanning as required Manage Graphics Dept. to include the following: Manage the Graphic Dept Manager and Graphic Technician roles/responsibilities. Communicate with Prepress Vendors/Suppliers as needed Enforce Dept SOPs Manage Mounting Dept. to include the following: Order/Communicate with Plate and machine vendors as needed Maintain Equipment PM Schedule Maintain/Enforce Dept SOPs Establish a Plate Inventory System Track Plate KPIs: Remake Reasons, longevity, quality Global Vision Scanning as required. Oversee and troubleshoot the pre-flight process to include the following: Create a Preflight Process and Maintain SOP Review the Schedule to the Jobs to verify: Radius Job matches GMS, stepped PDF, color expectations available (GMG, drawdowns, etc.) Plates available Efficient Color Rotation Working with the Press Dept: Press Run conditions are created and maintained to include Color sequence, expectations, aniloxes needed. Verify Anilox Inventory/Maintenance Work with Scheduling to optimize schedule for back-to-back runs/families This position is located out of Hickory, NC facility and 100% onsite We’d love to hear from you if: Leadership Experience – 1-2 years Education Level – Associate degree (or equivalent education) and sufficient technical training and/or equivalent work experience. Requirements

  • Leadership Experience – 1-2 years
  • Education Level – Associate degree (or equivalent education) and sufficient technical training and/or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Specific IT Systems, software – Microsoft Office
  • Strong hands-on experience of Flexo process work (3-5 years)
  • Flexo print and plate experience
  • Pre-Press, Plate and Press troubleshooting experience
